"Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"

Alice Pereira
October 5th, 1954 - May 25th, 2013.

Alice was welcomed into glory on Saturday, May 25, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Brian Pereira for 29 years, loving mother to Francesca, son-in-law Ben, and Rebecca. A gracious and loving sister to Tina and Jonette. Alice was predeceased by her parents Francis and Bella.

Alice grew up in Bombay, India and attended Convent Girls High School and later on completed her graduation from Bombay University. After working for a few years in India she moved to Bahrain in the Arabian Gulf with Brian. They moved to Dubai after Rebecca was born where Alice started her career with Emirates Airlines. In 2006 as the children grew into young adults, they decided to make another big move to start a new life in Canada. Alice was blessed to work for Emirates Airlines again and continued to meet new people, while yet maintaining old friendships.

She attended Heartland, a church connected in Mississauga where she was part of the welcome committee, greeting people with her charming smile. She was also responsible for managing and serving Holy Communion. She also assisted with the children's ministry in church.

Alice enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes. She loved to entertain people and serve in the community. Alice balanced her work and family with care, and gave her whole heart to those she loved. She instilled in her children the value of hard work, education and community. She led by example, spending her time, money and efforts to care for the weak and the underprivileged, always being the first to volunteer wherever needed.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her. Your words of comfort and encouragement, shared memories and prayers were all gratefully received. Alice was much loved and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to donate to Heartland Missions ( http://www.connectingfaith.ca) which was very close to her heart and represents the values that Alice cherished in her life.
