Born in Glasgow, Scotland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 at Hillsdale Terrace, Oshawa in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Seila. Proud father of Gregory (Sheri) and Deborah (Paul). Adored grandfather of Alicia, Brittany (Justin) and Niamh. Dear brother of Mary (John) and Jim (Isobel). Predeceased by siblings Elizabeth, Lily, Grace and David. Alex will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends in Canada and Scotland. His passion was playing football (soccer) and golf and enjoyed many sports. He had a great passion for life and a desire for learning, traveling and encountering many different people. Alex's work life started in the shipyards in Glasgow and his working career took him on many different paths and he finished his work life at General Motors, Oshawa, Canada. In memory of Alex and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

As special thank you to all the staff at Hillsdale Terrence for all care and support you gave to Alex and family.

Dear Seila , Greg and Debra.
We will miss Alex. He was such a kind and caring man who loved to spend time with his family. Sitting around the dinner table telling stories will not be the same.
Thinking of you all.
