In memory of

Alex Tashos

May 12, 1935 -  February 16, 2021

TASHOS, Alex May 12, 1935 – February 16, 2021 Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of our father, Alex Tashos, at the age of 85, after being diagnosed with cancer, which was complicated further by the COVID-19 virus he contracted while in hospital. We are comforted knowing that his passing was peaceful, and that his journey to heaven will be into the arms of his beloved wife, Vicky. He was a devoted father to Sophie (John Sowagi), Cathy (Paul Alousis), George (Mary). Grandfather to Peter (Carmen), Stephanie (Sabre), Nicholas (Lisa), Alexandra, Michael, Alexander, Matthew, Dennis and Victor. Also survived by his brother, Danny and his sister-in-law Elizabeth. He was born in Kratero, Greece and came to Canada in 1949. He worked in the restaurant business for many years including his own restaurant. He had a long enjoyable 30 year career at Dempster’s Bread. He was a quiet man, who enjoyed hockey, whether watching his grandchildren play or the Leafs. He particularly liked playing cards and having coffee or a drink or two with his dear friends. He will truly be missed.

Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral will be by invitation only. Please take a moment to sign the online condolence page for the family. Your love and support during these difficult times are appreciated. Thank you.
