Aldo was born in Split, Croatia on March 1, 1935 to parents Nada and Ante. He was the youngest brother of Elda, Mario and Velco. After losing his father at a very young age his mother moved the family to Milan, Italy where they endured the struggles of war.
When Aldo was a teenager, he and his mom made their way to Canada and settled in Toronto. He served as a Metro Police Officer for over 30 years and spent many years at the Intelligence Bureau working with the Ethnic Squad.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lidia (Mussap), his children, Liliana Kehoe (Michael), Paola Di Giovanni (Tony) and Aldo Jr. (Jeannie). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Remy, Joey, Danielle, Nathan, Matt, James and the newest member of the family, his great-grand daughter Gemma. There will be a private service and entombment on Tuesday afternoon followed by a reception for family and friends to join in celebrating Aldo's life.
