Alan was born on June 20, 1950 to Lau Wai Kam and Chan Man Cheung in Hong Kong. Alan is survived by his wife Yee-Fan of 44 years; his 3 children, Gary, Karman, Colleen; his grandchildren; and his brother Andy Chan. Alan was a wonderful and devoted son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, and teacher.
Alan 於 1950 年 6 月 20 日出生於香港,父母分別是劉惠金和陳文章。Alan遺下了與他結婚 44 年的妻, 陳布婍芬 ;他的 3 個孩子,Gary、Karman、Colleen;他的孫子Corey;和他的弟弟陳偉權. Alan是一位出色而忠誠的兒子、父親、丈夫、祖父、兄弟和老師.
Alan took the brave step of leaving Hong Kong to pursue better opportunities in his 20s. Fiercely resilient, he pursued his dreams in a way that could support his family, which was a strong pillar in his life. He tirelessly dedicated himself to pursuing the sport of bowling and won numerous awards and competitions throughout his career. He had a dream career with Brunswick, a recognized leader in the bowling industry, until his retirement.
Alan在20多歲時勇敢地離開香港去追求更好的機會。對他來說,家庭的幸福和成功是他追求保齡球運動的重要動力,在追求夢想的過程中,他以能夠支持家庭的方式前進,家庭成為他生命中的重要支柱。他一生致力於保齡球運動,並在其職業生涯中贏得了無數獎項和比賽。他是保齡球界(Brunswick)公認的領導者直到退休。
After retirement, Alan's passion for the game never wavered. He opened 900 Bowling Pro Shop to serve the bowling communities across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and was the co-founder of the Zone Bowling Club to promote the sport of bowling and inspired the younger generation to begin their bowling career. He received recognition for his achievements from the City of Markham and was invited to be the Official Bowling Ambassador representing the City of Markham.
退役後,Alan對比賽的熱情從未减退。他開設了 900 Bowling Pro Shop,為大多倫多地區 (GTA) 的保齡球社區提供服務,並且是 Zone Bowling Club 的聯合創始人,专注在推廣保齡球運動,並激勵年輕一代開始他們的保齡球生涯。他的成就得到了萬錦市的認可,並被邀請成為代表萬錦市的官方保齡球大使。
Alan Chan leaves behind an extraordinary legacy with his family, friends, students, and the bowling community. He will be dearly remembered and celebrated by all.
