With great sadness we announce the passing of Alan peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 8th, 2017. Devoted husband of the late Vera for 63 years. Loving father to Susan Ventresca (Paul) and Joanne Guarrasi (Giorgio). Grandfather to Marc, Michelle, Nicole, Jordan and Michael. Great Grandfather to John, Julie, Matilda, Jessica, Joseph and Max. Thoughtfully cared for in his later years by Nitesh (Nick)
Family and friends will be received at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Friday, October 13th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m with Interment to follow. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

I remember Mr. Bertouche (Always be Mr. to me) with a smile on his face every time we talked. He was always there to help out any one on Flora Drive. His garden was perfection, his house was perfectly groomed outside. He got such a kick out of all of the kids on his street and we all felt it. Rest In Peace.
