My condolences to Alan's family.

Alan mentioned Nancy and the kids on a frequent basis in his work and it was obvious that his family meant the world to him.

A long time ago I took the 5 hour road trip to Calgary, Alberta to attend Accounting Technology Seminar. I have travelled there many times since to attend. Alan was very gifted teacher and loved what he did. We were not pupils, we were his friends instantly. He touched thousands. Will definitely miss his comments. Thank-you to his family for sharing such a wonderful man.
