In memory of

Alan Bermudez

February 25, 1963 -  July 7, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Alan Bermudez, 62 years old, who died Monday July 7, 2025 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario. We are devastated by his loss and completely unprepared.

Alan was born in Bacolod City, Philippines. He found the love of his life in Canada and settled here for many years. He was fond of various projects using his hands which became his hobbies and gave him comfort at home. He held different jobs throughout his life but was very passionate in his newfound profession with the Sick Kids Hospital in downtown Toronto. Alan loves working with kids; he didn’t take time off even when he was sick.

He will always be remembered by his jokes and antics that made everyone smile and laugh. He will also always be remembered for being helpful.

Alan is survived by his loving daughters Precious Angel Bermudez and Charlynne De Jimenez. He will be missed by his cherished partner of 16 years Twinkle P Lambayong, and his loving parents Edith O Rundle, and Sydney Rundle. He also leaves behind his Uncle Alfonso H. Ong and Vicente H. Ong, Aunties Mila Ong and Elizabeth Ong and a host of cousins. His relatives Josefina Pioquinto, Kaylene Pioquinto, Sherwin Pioquinto, and Metodio Pioquinto shared in his joyful spirit, and will miss him a lot.

To my dad,

I will always remember the good memories of what we had. The day you introduced me to my favorite ice cream cookies and cream. The day when you watched me ride my bike without training wheels and the letters you send throughout my childhood. I’m sad that we didn’t get to see each other in person, but I know you’ll always be watching us from above. You’ll always be remembered. Thank you for always thinking me.

Love,
Charlynne
