Ouroumis, Ahilleas ‘Alex’
Passed away peacefully on June 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Mount Sinai Hospital. Beloved husband of Dorothy married for 55 years. Loving father of Mary (John) & Mitsa (Fred). Proud grandfather of Nicole & Lauren. Dear brother of Soula (George). Predeceased by his siblings Pides & Marika. Alex will be lovingly remembered by his extended family in Canada & abroad. He enjoyed simple pleasures; always spending quality time at home & specifically with his grand-daughters. One of his favourite pastimes was to tend to his vegetable and flower garden. A special thank you to the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital (10 South) & CCAC caregivers for their care & support. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.

Dear Mary and family,

We're so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Please accept or sincerest condolences. I'm reminded of the video you shared recently of the Ouroumis/Polak Easter Egg Cracking competition...and your dad smiling throughout, elated at the sight of his grandchildren enjoying the event (despite their puzzled faces, trying to figure out this quirky Balkan custom). May memories such as these give you some comfort in this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of your father. I was blessed enough to spend many happy times with him and savour the riches from his beloved vegetable gardens.
