With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of IC-35888M Lt Col Abraham John (Retd) on 29 Jul 2025.

Lt Col Abraham John was born on 18 Apr 1953 in Bangalore. He was commissioned into Corps of Engineers (MEG) on 16 Dec 1978 and was posted to 203 Engr Regt. During his service, he held appt of PI Cdr, Coy 2IC, IO and Adjt in 203 Engr Regt, Coy 2IC at 1109 Rly Op Coy. As part of Staff/ERE/Instructional tenures, he tenated appts of Bn Cdr, Coy Cdr, Bn Adjt and Asst Adjt at HQ MEG &
Centre, GE at DGNP (B) Bombay, SO2 (Wks) at CE Eastern Comd. The offr superannuated on
01 Jun 1998. During his service, he attended all mandatory courses.

The offr left for heavenly abode on 29 Jul 2025. He is survived by his wife Mrs Noelle Abraham, son Mr Vivian Abraham and daughter Miss Kimberly Abraham.

All ranks of The Madras Sappers express their heartfelt condolences and pray to Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family.

I can't believe that Abu is no more.
